I have been an active semi-professional photographer and involved with amateur photoclubs for over 40 years as a participant, competition judge and lecturer. A Raleigh, NC resident since the mid-90's, I moved from South Florida where I was active with the many Photographic Society of America Clubs from W.Palm Beach to Miami. Workshops for portraiture, table-top photography and special subjects along with nature field-trips in the Florida Everglades were conducted while living in So Florida.
Since arriving in the Triangle I've been active as a photo competition judge at the Chapel Hill, Capital City, NIEHS, Wake Forest Camera Clubs and other photo competitions.
In association with Continuing Education I taught photography classes in Broward County, Florida and have been teaching Basic and Intermediate Photography at Wake Technical Community College since 2002.
Joint exhibits in the Triangle include Horace Williams House, Carol Woods Retirement Community, Durham Art Council, Hugh Magnum Museum of Photography, NC State Arts Department, Chapel Hill Museum, Page-Walker in addition to various private exhibits.
Semi-professional work includes individual and group portraits, sport and publicity photo's, product photography, weddings, special events, photo-art and participation with photo coverage for the NC Special Olympics. Published work includes photo essays in the Florida Sun Sentinel, News and Observer-Raleigh, trade magazines and product brochures.
